DADDY~~YOURS AND MINE

Father's Day 2007

Yours
To my children~
There is no other man that you can look up to more than your Daddy.
He loves Jesus, works hard, loves you, and ALWAYS wants to spend time with you.
He loves your Mom and makes her happy. He would rather be at home with his family than any other place on earth.
He wants God's best for you and prays for you daily.
He deserves your respect and honor.
He is incredible and he's all yours.
I love you, honey!!
Happy Father's Day!!!

Mama and Daddy at the beach last summer

Mine
My Daddy is strong and hard working.
He loves Jesus.
He loves my Mama and makes her happy.
He would rather be at home with his family than any other place on earth.
He wants God's best for me and my family.
He and Mama pray for us daily.
He plays the guitar beautifully and I love to hear it. (I think Trevor is taking after him)
He deserves my respect and honor~and I do.
He has been a Daddy for 34 years.
I love you, Daddy!!
Happy Father's Day!!!

WHAT WE DO FOR FUN

Play Bingo and other games. We have been playing games almost every night this week.

Take the girls swimming. Mike's co-worker lives right down the road and she let us swim at her pool. It was fun and free~two of my favorite words:~)

Play music~~this is Trevor at music camp with his friend John and his teacher Jerry. Jerry is the guy that has the awesome 'fro. We are hoping he is Trevor's teacher this next school year.

All the kids did such a great job at their recital and musical. Trevor was in a new band this year that was optional. The kids that wanted to be a part of it gave up their free time in the evening to practice. They played and sang "House of The Rising Sun" by The Animals.

GET ME A FUNERAL FAN!!!!

Whew~~weeee!!!! It is hot, hot, hot here. It's so hot Shelby decided to practice swimming in the house rather than actually go outside and get in water:~)

We are trying to stay cool and it's not easy. I have been going through closets and the garage and getting rid of stuff by the box and garbage bag full. I don't know what has gotten into me lately but I have been getting rid of lots of stuff.

Our garbage cans were overflowing yesterday when the garbage man came. The recycle bins are getting full and it only gets picked up once a month so I better slow down.

It feels good to get rid of junk that accumulates over the years. I have passed a lot of the girls clothes down to a young family at church. They have two daughters that are exactly the same years apart as Abby and Shelby. It felt good to bless them with LOTS of clothes they can use.

OH SO WELL

These are pictures of Trevor and Shelby before State competition at the beginning of May. They both won in their categories so they will go to the Nationals in July. Shelby won for Solo and Trio in her grade level and Trevor won for Teen Skit with his youth group.

In other news, Trevor got home from camp today and he said he had a blast. He is looking good and tan. He is hoarse from all the yelling. I have a lot of laundry today and tomorrow. He will pack and leave on Sunday afternoon for music camp. He is tired so he wants to sleep as much as possible these next two days.

SWEET SUMMER HAIRCUTS

We took the girls and got their haircut today. Shelby decided she wanted hers short for the summer and Abby needed a cut badly. They look so cute and they are FULL of themselves tonight. Every time they pass a mirror they have to take a look and run their hands through their hair. Take a look at these beauties:

Mike goes to the doctor tomorrow and he has to be there at 7:30 a.m. 7:30 a.m.!!!!!!!!!!! That means we have to get up wwaaayyyy early to get the girls to my friend Ruthie's house and then get downtown AND did I mention that the CMA Music Fest (aka Fan Fair) starts tomorrow~~~~that means traffic, traffic, and more traffic. Oh well, maybe we will miss the traffic since we have to be there at the crack of dawn.

Pray that Mike gets a good report and he the cast on his arm gets taken off permanently. He wants them to tell him he can start putting weight on his legs. We'll see.

FOR THE THIRD TIME IN MY LIFE

I mowed grass today. The first two times I did it just for fun so I'm not sure they count. I think I did a good job. Mike said I did anyway.

Trevor is at church camp this week. We dropped him off yesterday and we hope he has a great time. We go pick him up on Friday. His friends Bailey and Kelsi went too so it was good.

I have made more changes to my blog as you can tell. I had the template with strawberries and I liked it but it was not blogger so my blogroll and all my add-ons disappeared after I changed it so I decided to change it back to something else. I would like to have a more summery template but I like the green.

Have a great Monday!!!!
