DON'T FAINT WITH SURPRISE!!!

I have blogged twice in a week!! Can you believe it??

It has been one adventurous week to say the least. I could tell you some good stories. One of which is very cool and I will be sharing that one soon:~)

Mike had his birthday on Saturday. He is now 35 yrs old. I feel so blessed to have shared so many birthdays with him.

We had an Easter egg hunt at church after our soccer games on Saturday but my girls only got one egg between them because Abby's game ran long. There was a little weeping but we were able to distract them with promises of candy the next day. One of their little friends shared her eggs with them so that also dried some tears.

Sunday was busy as usual. We had an early service, then breakfast, and then another service. Everything went well but we were tired when we got home. We all crashed for a couple of hours
before we ate Lupper. That is what we call the meal we eat around 3pm to 4 pm. It is a combination between lunch and supper. Pretty funny, huh?

I will upload pictures later.

IT"S GOOD FRIDAY ALREADY!!!!!!!

Golly, gee! It has been crazy around here!!!! We have celebrated a birthday, had family in town, went on an overnight trip, started soccer, had a snow storm, had a huge rain storm, and I think I could go on and on.

We have a birthday today! Trevor is 17 today. He has to work ALL day. A bummer. We are planning a little surprise for him. Shh!!

Hopefully I will get back to blogging regularly. It's sad when you look at your own blog and think, "I wish I would blog something:~)"

Good Friday--remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you and renew your commitment to be a living sacrifice for Him. He deserves our EVERY praise.

WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN?????

I'm glad you asked!

We have been visiting with my dad, mom, and sister, playing in the snow, and taking our van to the shop.

We decided that right now the best way to be good stewards of our money was to take the van to get it fixed instead of buying another vehicle. The guy called earlier today and it was less than we thought it would be. That is always a pleasant surprise.

I was catching up on posts over on my SIL's blog and busting up!! I was not laughing because my brother got hurt~I was laughing because that sounds like something Mike and I would do:~)
In fact, when he has used a saw like that I could just imagine all the horrible things that could go wrong using that thing.

I was tagged by Sherry over at largefamilymothering. So here goes~

7 random things about me~

1. I hate mopping the floors~in fact, I put it off as long as I can. I try to sweep everyday but I hate to mop.

2. I love, yes I said love, going to the dentist. I find it very relaxing.

3. I have three plants that I have kept alive for over a year and a half. A record for me. I am a plant killer~maybe I'm reformed now. Maybe.

4. I wear a blue stretchy band on my right wrist to remind me of a commitment I made to the Lord.

5. I love to cook and I enjoyed cooking for my family this week.

6. I use to dislike staying at home and slowly my attitude really changed as the Lord showed me what a blessing it is.

7. I am almost the parent of 17 year old and then one more year til 18. Where did my baby boy go??? I know this has been said a bazillion times but where did the time go????

MOM, CAN I PICK THE DAFFODILS????

OH MY WORD!! The weather here is making me have spring fever!!! We have been more outside the past two days than the whole month of February combined.

We are having Bible conference at the college this week. We went last night and this morning. The sermons have been great and the workshops are very helpful.

The workshop Mike and I decided to go to this morning was "Families in Crisis: When Trauma Strikes". The teacher, Edward Moody, Jr., has just published a new book, "First Aid for Emotional Hurts". I recommend this book to have if you are in ministry. It has practical advice to help people who are hurting.

The 11 o'clock service was powerful. Dr. Garnett Reid talked about "How to be a God empowered leader." It was challenging and insightful. I am so thankful for the speakers that study and bring a fresh voice to the scripture. I am also thankful for wonderful Christian fellowship that we have experienced over the last couple of days.

We have had problems with our van since the beginning of January and now the vehicle we have been relying on is acting up. It is aggravating at best. We missed a wedding on Saturday because we didn't want to get that far from home in case the car decided to die. Bummer!! We are asking God to show us how to be good stewards~should we look for another vehicle? or would it be advantageous to get them both fixed or one fixed?~which one?~ see we have a lot of questions.
